Description
This American Folk Art Wood carving most likely from early 1900’s, it stands approx 21″ tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the head of the horse, The front of the head measures approx. 18″ long from the end of the nose to the top of the head. The wood is solid and quite heavy.
This piece was acquired from a local farm in Northern Virginia, we were told that the piece was located above the front entrance of the old farm, for many years.
The head has drilled holes on the top of the head, please see the pictures.
Really unusual Vintage piece. Solid block of wood carved into a horse head incredibly executed.
